Dissonant heritage, decolonial tourism and autonomies: tourism as a potential for transformations in the cultural heritage of Brazil, Portugal, and Angola
The field of tourism today has shown significant advances with regard tothe diversification of practices, participation of populations and communities in destinationsand redistributive potential and the reduction of inequalities. However, heritage related todominant groups and, in the case of developing countries, elements from Europeancolonization are still used in the composition of itineraries and in the definition of touristattractions. The research aims to identify and analyze the heritage elements made available totourism, to perceive dissonant heritages of selected groups in the cities of Belém (Brazil)Aveiro (Portugal) and Lubango (Angola) and to produce new itineraries and circuits from thismaterial, building the decolonial tourism concept. The research will be carried out with agentsfrom the relational field of tourism in the three locations of the countries involved, based onparticipatory methodology and workshops on memory and dissonant heritage and decolonialtourism, with the elaboration of itineraries and circuits, cartography, with information forlocative media and participatory seminars. The UFPA, UA, ISCED and ISPI exchange willpromote the training of researchers and students on the subject and various scientificdocuments, articles and reports and will contribute to significant advances in the scientificfield of tourism, cultural studies, heritage and related areas, and for the development ofcommunities.
